Where to watch Glastonbury on the TV this weekend

Sets from Coldplay, Shania Twain and Jungle will all be available to enjoy from your sofa

Glastonbury Festival returns to Worthy Farm this weekend, welcoming artists like Coldplay, SZA and Avril Lavigne to one of the world’s most legendary music festivals.

Ticket holders have been flooding through the gates since yesterday morning, ready for a fun weekend of music, good vibes and hopefully sunny weather.

But for those who didn’t manage to secure tickets to the annual event, or for anyone who just wants to catch a bit of the action from home without having to get their wellies on, the festival will be available to watch on UK TV.

Festival highlights packages and full headline sets will air live on BBC One, Two and Four, alongside short special features about some of the artists and their road to Glastonbury.

On Friday (June 28), coverage begins on BBC Four at 7:30pm with the Sugababes. Later on you’ll be able to catch IDLES’ set at 10:15pm, unless you’ve already switched over to BBC One for the headliner set from Dua Lipa, starting at 10pm.

Saturday’s coverage kicks off at 5pm on BBC Two, and flicking between channels will mean you can catch The Last Dinner Party’s set at 7pm and Keane at 8pm on BBC Four, before switching over to BBC One for Coldplay at 10pm. If you’ve still got some energy left, Disclosure are on at 11:45pm over on BBC Four. You can find a full breakdown of the weekend’s stage below.

Sunday’s coverage contains another full evening, starting with Shania Twain at 6:15 on BBC One. You can also catch Paloma Faith, The National and Seasick Steve on Sunday evening, but the final headliner for the weekend, SZA, will be over on BBC One at 10pm.

The weekend’s action can be watched live or found by searching ‘Glastonbury’ on BBC iPlayer, where you’ll be able to find most of the sets.

For “the ultimate guide to Glastonbury”, you can also watch The Glastonbury Channel Live, which will stream performances as they happen across the weekend and have presenters sharing festival news and meeting special guests.

The BBC has also launched the inaugural Glastonbury Channel II which will bring you highlights from Worthy Farm, collating “the most talked about performances and moments every day”.
