2024 has already been a cracking year for new music by emerging artists – many of whom will be playing Glastonbury this week. Most chatter about Glasto concentrates on who’s ending the night at the Pyramid Stage, but the festival also offers an abundance of fantastic opportunities to catch headliners-in-waiting.
Whether it’s the righteous metal of Voice of Baceprot (the first Indonesian band to play Worthy Farm), the baroque theatrics of The Last Dinner Party, the winning pop-rock of Rachel Chinouriri, or the golden soul of Jalen Ngonda, there’s a myriad of incredible music to enjoy in unexpected places.
NME has rounded up some of these artists to look out for – get ready with our handy playlist on Spotify below and Apple Music here.
