Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung to star in new Netflix K-drama, ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’

The upcoming series will be penned by the acclaimed Hong Sisters

Netflix has announced a new K-drama called Can This Love Be Translated?, starring Kim Seon-ho (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) and Go Youn-jung (Moving).

Today (June 27), Netflix revealed that it had cast Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung as the leads of its upcoming original K-drama Can This Love Be Translated? (working title). The streamer also shared some details about the new romantic-comedy series.

Can This Love Be Translated? will revolve around Cha Moo-hee (played by Go), a popular celebrity who hires Joo Ho-jin (played by Kim) as her translator. The upcoming project will be written by acclaimed sibling duo Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, also known as the Hong Sisters.

The Hong Sisters best known for working on hit dramas like Alchemy of Souls (2022), Hotel Del Luna (2019) and more. Can This Love Be Translated? will be the Hong Sisters’ first time working with the streaming giant. Additionally, yhe series will be directed by Yoo Yong-eun (Bloody Heart).

In other Netflix news, the streamer has announced the premiere date and released a trailer for the third and final season of its hit post-apocalyptic K-drama series Sweet Home, starring Song Kang.

Elsewhere, controversial actress Seo Ye-ji is set to return to the entertainment industry after signing an exclusive contract with Sublime Artist Agency, two years after her last TV project, 2022’s Eve. Seo became embroiled in controversy in 2021 after she was accused of gaslighting and manipulating her ex-boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun.
