What time is ‘Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree’ available to play?

Preloading for the DLC has begun

Elden Ring‘s upcoming DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree has been anticipated and speculated on since the game first launched two years ago. The DLC is finally upon us, but when will it actually become available to play in your timezone?

Unlike a lot of other games, there’s no early access period for the DLC. However, the time you can play it is different based on what platform you’re playing on and where you are in the world, so it’s a little bit confusing still.

Shadow of the Erdtree release date and time

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is launching on consoles at 12AM local time for everyone around the world on Friday June 21. That’s for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players. The only exception is in the United States. There, once the clock strikes midnight for the East Coast, it’ll go live everywhere. So for the U.S. only, the game will go live 12AM EDT, 11PM CDT, 10PM MDT, 9PM PDT, 8PM AKDT, and 6PM HST.

The key difference is in the PC launch of the DLC, which is happening worldwide at the exact same time. The worldwide PC launch for Shadow of the Erdtree will be 12AM CEST Friday June 21. This means the game will be available on PC Thursday June 20 for everyone who lives west of West Europe. That time translates to 11PM BST for the U.K., 6PM EDT for the East Coast, and 3PM PDT for the West Coast, all Thursday, June 20.

If you want to speed up when you can actually play the game, we’d recommend pre-downloading it, which you can do from today, Wednesday June 19. This will ensure the DLC is fully installed and ready to play the moment it unlocks in your region on whatever platform you’ve bought it on.
