Frontman Rou Reynolds spoke o NME backstage at Download, where he told us about plans for new material and their 2024 UK tour, and how there is still a long way to go when it comes to saving smaller music spaces

Donington Park, June 14-16: Despite tumultuous weather, threats of boycott and more, the Derby festival proves that it is leading the way for new talent

It follows a number of artists dropping out of the festivals in protest at their sponsorship by the bank, which has ties to Israeli arms sales

"People often travel considerable distances to come to live shows, so we feel it’s important for us to make the effort as well sometimes and play places that your standard tour wouldn’t normally," said frontman Rou Reynolds

“We have seen the work that Music Venue Trust are doing for grassroots venues across the UK and were inspired to lend our support"

The festival will return to Donington Park for its 21st edition from June 14-16, 2024
